This place has gone down hill since I first rented. At that time it was just a bit shabby (dirty). Over the last 18 months it has gone way downhill. Doors are left open with rocks as door stops for days on end. It is not staffed. People urinate in the startwells (no one is there and the bathroom is locked, it’s the only secure place in the building, bring your own TP). Forget about temperature control. Besides being hot, the humidity will make your boxes fall apart. The billing problems were terrible. Even when I set up automatic payments they assessed late fees. And they even locked me out of my unit (yes, with automatic credit card billing).
Before I could get out of there, my unit was broken into 3 times. At that time, some one tried to steal my identity. The thief even put his own lock on my unit. The owner didn’t care (he won’t even admit that he is the owner).
Shop around, I found a place for less than $1 a sq ft that has an alarm on every unit door.

After speaking with the staff and getting my piano into the facility, it lived up to my expectations. The least I could do is post them a positive review. | | | | | Excellent service. My husband and I have been using a unit for about a year now for stuff we don't really use around the house.
I can't think of a better price for any self storage unit on Long Island and I can't think of a better staff either. | | | | | Excellent Storage, I can't think of a better deal. Even though I live in Manhattan, the occasional commute out there is no hassle. Rates in manhattan are double and triple what I get for my unit on Long Island.
I like the variety of units and climate options. It really makes me feel like I am in control. With automatic billing options from a local business, what more can you ask for.
